Does anyone out there have recommendations for a place locally that Chris and Megan can get cds duplicated, covers printed, etc?
We talked about getting several resources to help, but they were saying they'd feel good just turning all the stuff in and picking all the stuff up all at once, already assembled and ready for sale.

Wed, May 4, 2005 - 11:53 AMI think they are shooting to do 100. The covers are thick with lyrics...maybe 8 pages? -

Re: Lava Toad cd duplication
Wed, May 4, 2005 - 12:32 PMA friend of mine just did a run of 100 and liked what she got, but it wasn't local:

Misha responded to your request in the Zegri tribe with this:
Terra Brett
Fridayarts LLC
510-444-8144
www.fridayarts.com
She did the original Plasterkatz demo. Not fantastic quality, but good enough for a first printing and relatively inexpensive. Tell her you found her on Tribe, she usually gives a Tribe discount but you have to ask for it.
OR do it online yourself at www.diskmakers.com

Re: Lava Toad cd duplication
Mon, May 9, 2005 - 10:49 PMKyle, thank you so much for the information, and for relaying Misha's. (And thank you Misha and Holly!) We definitely want to pay more if we have to for better quality, and it seems like there are lots of places where duplications are cheaper than blank CD's. The biggest problem is the cover, and we're still hoping to find someplace local where we can just hand them our stuff and say, "Now, look. It's just this tiny little toad on an all-white background; how expensive could that possibly be to print?" We WOULD just do it ourselves, like we have been for five years now, but our unreliable printer makes it hellish. (We have some versions of the cover with neon-pink toads, and blue stripes, and all kinds of psychedellic effects.)
We plan to go into the City tomorrow to look around for duplicators. But thanks again, so much, everyone who has written with suggestions.
