Hey Kids
Stop! Put down that razor sharp spatula! Un-hand that defenseless chicken you've been choking for the last couple weeks! Lift your head from that tear stained wooden spoon! Your aural salvation is nigh!!! Hallelujah!
That's right, your favorite band Crumpled Napkin will be performing not once, but twice in the space of 3 days!
Ok, I'll give you a second to clean up the puddle of secretions and fecal dribbling that shot out when you read that last sentence...hey don't use my towel dude! Seriously go get some paper towels...they're in the kitchen...no, the cupboard...Jesus titty fucking Christ, that's really gonna stain...fine I'll get them...Fuck dude...seriously.
Sorry about that, where was I? Oh yeah, Crumpled Napkin LIVE this weekend in the Panhandle in SF! That's right, its the 1st Annual CORNSTOCK! Featuring members of Crumpled Napkin and Plasterkatz jamming together. Also we've imported at great expense some very special guests...the legendary Lava Toad!!! Oh, cripes...why did I put those paper towels away? Sheesh.
Anyway we will be playing along side the Bay to Breakers race route on the grass at Grove and Fell streets this Sunday May 15th. Starting at 10:00am and going till 1:00pm or we get shut down by the pigs, what ever comes first. It will be an all star jam with all of some of your favorite musician's ruining all of your favorite songs. Bring a blanket to sit on, some booze to guzzle and an instrument to contribute to the cacophony of sound.
Cornstock 2005!! Fuck yeah!!
Butt weight! There's more!
Crumpled Napkin will be doing another LIVE Webcast/Recording at the Expression Center in Emeryville on Tuesday May 17th at 9:30pm. (Note the time is later then last time so you have time to get drunk first! Woohoo!) We got some great material out of the last session, so this is your chance to be involved in the Crumpled Napkin album. Please reply to this e-mail to be put on the list, or if you can't make it in person be sure to log on and watch the webcast at: www.expression.edu

Re: Crumpled Napkin LIVE Sun May 15th & Tues May 17th!!!
Thu, May 12, 2005 - 3:52 PMMy gosh--I'm so flattered at the suggestion that anyone would need paper towels partly on our account. I feel bad because I don't think Lava Toad will be able to perform this Sunday. We're slowly but surely getting my throat and Chris's fingers back into shape for the 28th, but we still have a ways to go.
But we're very excited to see you guys perform, and we'll be sure to bring our share of paper towels if you can supply the crumpled napkins. -

Re: Crumpled Napkin LIVE Sun May 15th & Tues May 17th!!!
Thu, May 12, 2005 - 4:55 PMWell...poop.
Are you guys gonna come out on Sunday at all? You can sit in on the Napkin songs, we're gonna have charts and everything.
If not you cats are coming to the Webcast on Tuesday night right? We'll actually have a sound system and sleep for that gig. -

Re: Crumpled Napkin LIVE Sun May 15th & Tues May 17th!!!
Thu, May 12, 2005 - 8:45 PMYes, we're going to do our damnedest to make it on Sunday, though that IS the day we normally worship the Lord--and this is our week to bring the grape juice. We're honored as fuck that you would want us to sit in on your songs, but we're shy about doing improv, even with charts. (Chris's first reaction was a big "Hell, yeah," but then he remembered the kind of people we are and that we would surely wimp out at the last minute. Don't let it get around, but we're very timid about that kind of thing. Now, everyone else, forget you read that and please continue thinking of us as confident, capable rock stars. Or START thinking that.)
But as far as the Webcast, just try to keep us away. Consider this the "r" in rsvp.
